What?

Woops! Before I can catch my cup, my coffee spills, splashing  the perfectly pressed slacks of the elegant gentleman dining at the table next to mine in the restaurant. Under his breath, but still audible, I hear him say, “Fopdoodle!” The word sounds cartoonish, but his tone is unmistakable — it resonates with irritation. I realize that he's swearing at me! Still mopping up the mess, I blurt, “What?”

Are there any heroic deeds with the only reward — feeling good?"  The answer is yes, but the stories are buried and not easy to find.

Gloria Steinem just celebrated her 84th birthday. Steve Jobs observed. "There are few people in history who have made a dent in the universe during their lifetime, and Steinem is one of them." She certainly changed the possibilities available to me and my peers as women aspiring to equal opportunity in the business world. She says, "I never guessed that embracing the right to my own identity, power, and freedom would resonate with others the way it did."
